75 years of experience in packaging electrotechnical equipment

Since its inception in 1945, operations at Jaco have focused on developing and manufacturing electrotechnical products for electricity network owners and industry. Until the mid-1990s, the products were mainly transformer stations containing medium voltage switchgear 12 – 36 kV, transformers and low voltage switchgear. Today, operations mainly consist of developing and manufacturing customised technology housing and modular buildings for installation of technical equipment, the focus on electrical engineering, automation and control systems dominates.

More than 60 committed and experienced employees ensure that products and solutions maintain high and consistent quality prior to delivery from the factory. Together with our own staff and carefully selected subcontractors, all types of assembly and installation are available. Offices and production are located on the coast in Hargshamn, approximately 120 km north of Stockholm. In very close proximity is the international port facility Hargs Hamn AB with connection to normal-track railway and RoRo ramp for boarding by truck and railway. The port facilities also offer a unique opportunity for intermediate storage of modular buildings.

The final destination and commissioning of the majority of the company’s annual production of modular buildings is outside Sweden. Together with world-leading companies such as Siemens, ABB, Hitachi ABB, Rittal, Alstom, and others, Jaco develops the packaged facilities and products of the future for sustainable and renewable electricity production, distribution and transmission.
